A journalist specializing in social issues and of biomedicine, for much of her career she has been a journalist for El País, the newspaper where she was editor in chief of the Catalonia edition and the readers’ ombudsman and for which she designed and coordinated the health supplement. She now writes articles and is a member of the newspaper’s editorial team. She has been a professor of journalism and of scientific communication in postgraduate courses at Pompeu Fabra University and the Autonomous University of Madrid, and has been part of the Bioethics Committee of Catalonia. She has been awarded several prizes, including the Josep Trueta Medal for Healthcare Merit. She works as an analyst in several media outlets.
