He has a PhD in chemistry from the University of Barcelona (1974). He has been professor of chemical engineering and a collaborator of the University of Barcelona’s Torribera Food Campus. He is now an emeritus professor. He is the scientific director of the Spanish Committee of Detergents, Surfactants and Related Products (CED). A member of the board of the Catalan Association of Food Sciences (ACCA) and the Catalan Society of Chemistry. He has done research in the teaching and dissemination of science.
