Drawing the Keys to Healthy and Sustainable Food
- 10 from June 2021 from 17:30 to 18:30
- In person (by prior registration)
Food consumption is part of a necessary exchange process, where pleasure, fun and leisure are also involved. The problem arises when available resources become scarce as the planet's population increases. It is estimated that in 2050 there will be 9 billion of us and we will need two and a half planets to meet our needs. If we are to address environmental problems, adapt to climate change and create a food future where food security and better nutrition prevail, the current food system must change.
When considering how to implement these new recommendations that link health and sustainability, food guides and other tools such as the food pyramid would be ideal educational tools to reach the population with short, clear, concrete messages that are adapted to cultural and food traditions.
This family activity will explain some keys about the food of the future in an understandable and graphic way through a storyboard, emphasizing the fact that not only individual and collective health must be considered, but also planetary health, basic to continue enjoying the resources that the planet provides us.
