Marc Torrell

Chemist and materials engineer

Researcher in the Nanoionics and Fuel Cells Group at the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC) since 2013. His main lines of research are the electrochemical characterisation of materials for high-temperature fuel cells and the generation of green hydrogen by electrolysis. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona (UB) and a PhD in Materials Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). He directs several research projects at European and national scales, including the HYBCN project of the Barcelona Science call, as well as several doctoral theses and is the author of more than 50 papers in international journals and four book chapters on hydrogen and its uses.
