Professor and researcher at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) since 2007. He is currently the coordinator of the master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering and the master's degree in Space and Aeronautical Engineering at UPC-Terrassa.

His research is focused on sustainable space exploration and interplanetary mission architecture analysis. He is on the board of the Sustainable Offworld Network (Sonnet), a community of professionals that aims to develop and explore the long-term sustainability of human activities in space. He is also a science popularizer with projects such as Gaia Ciència, which includes talks, workshops and dramatized shows to convey his fascination with the universe around us.
