Oriol Marquet

Geographer and researcher in mobility and territory

PhD in Geography and Master in Territorial and Population Studies from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). With a degree in Geography and History from the UAB, he is currently a researcher in the Mobility, Transport and Territory Studies Group (GEMOTT) of the Department of Geography at the UAB. He is a Marie Curie postdoctoral researcher and has previously worked at the Center for Geospatial Analytics (North Carolina State University) and at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal).

His lines of research focus on the links between urban form and transport habits and on how we can build more sustainable, fairer and healthier mobility models through urban planning. He currently teaches on the Degree in Smart Cities Management at the UAB, and on the Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Environmental, Economic and Social Sustainability at ICTA, among others.
