Professor of Logic at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), she is a researcher working at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA-CSIC) and a member of the Barcelona Graduate School of Mathematics. She worked for two years (1999-2001) as a postdoctoral researcher at the Équipe de Logique Mathématique at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) of the University of Paris and did a one-year research stay at the Data65 Institute (UNSW Sydney, 2017-18).  She was vice-rector of the UAB (2012-2016). She is currently leading different projects on ethics and logic in artificial intelligence.
