Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Barcelona (UB). She straddles between history and social and cultural anthropology and investigates contemporary issues related to everything that constitutes a resource to sustain and reproduce human life. Her reflections address issues of work and consumption and the dimensions of gender, age and social class. Her work was awarded the Ramón Menéndez Pidal National Prize for Research in Humanity in 2020.
