A conference exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming scientific research practices and the challenge of maintaining transparency and human understanding of its processes. Physicist Hans Briegel will present the results of his work on the use and development of AI models in quantum physics, such as the projective simulation (PS) model, applied to the design of quantum experiments, robotic learning and modeling of biological behavior. The session will also analyze how the concepts of quantum information and machine learning converge to open new perspectives on the role of artificial agency in science and the foundations of physics.
