ICREA Professor and researcher in mathematical quantum physics. She earned her PhD in Physics from the University of Innsbruck (Austria) in 2011 under the supervision of Professor Hans Briegel, and completed a postdoctoral stay at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics in Munich before becoming Professor of Mathematical Quantum Physics at the University of Innsbruck in 2018. In 2024, she returned to Catalonia as an ICREA Professor after seventeen years of academic work in Austria and Germany. Her current interests focus on conceptual and philosophical questions in science. She is the author of The Zippers of Reality, a work positioned at the crossroads of philosophy, poetry, and science
