Head of research at the Natural Sciences Museum of Barcelona

Head of research at the Museum of Natural Sciences of Barcelona since 1991. Vice-president of the Spanish Society of Ethology and Evolutionary Ecology. He has published more than two hundred scientific papers on the adaptation of birds to global change and evolutionary ecology. He has been researching the adaptation of birds to the urban environment for twenty years, being one of the first to demonstrate that city birds differ genetically from forest birds.
