José Ignacio Latorre is director of the Centre for Quantum Technologies in Singapore and the director of the National Quantum Processors Initiative and Advanced Quantum Algorithms and Solutions programs. He earned his PhD in elementary particle physics at the University of Barcelona and has worked at several universities on quantum field theories, particle phenomenology, renormalization group, quantum computing, and artificial intelligence. He has published four popular science books and produced two documentaries. He is a founding partner of Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech. Together with some friends, he makes a good wine.
