As a preview of the sixth edition of the Brain Film Fest, the international film festival about the brain promoted by the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, the documentary film Imad's Childhood (Zahavi Sanjavi, 2021) is presented as part of the City and Science Biennial.

The feature film is about the return home of a four-year-old boy who was captured by ISIS during his childhood, along with his family. The documentary explores the difficulties of adjusting after constant psychological and physical abuse during more than two years in captivity.

After the screening, the filmmaker and artistic director of the Brain Film Fest, Albert Solé, will talk with the filmmaker Alba Sotorra, director of the documentary El retorn: La vida després de l'ISIS, and with Álvaro Vicente, researcher on violent radicalisation at the Elcano Royal Institute and the Rey Juan Carlos University.
