ICREA Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), where she leads an interdisciplinary research group in quantum information, ultracold atomic gases, quantum optics, and condensed matter. She has been a researcher at the University of Oxford, the University of Paris-Saclay, and Leibniz Universität Hannover, and a visiting researcher at the University of Santa Barbara (USA), the Kavli Institute of Theoretical Physics (China), the University of Maryland (USA), and the East African Institute of Fundamental Research (Rwanda). She serves on the Strategic Advisory Board of the European Quantum Flagship, the Max Planck Institute of Light (Germany), and the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information in Innsbruck.
