Citizen science is understood as a way of doing science that invites citizens to actively participate. For about ten years now, there have been initiatives along these lines in Europe and the United States to join forces and share experiences. Citizen science is no longer just a promise, it has reached a significant maturity and has been consolidated everywhere, but what is the current situation in Europe? And in the United States?

This dialogue will explore the different perspectives and cultures in different parts of the world and discuss priorities in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals or its role in informing new policies. It will also compare global perspectives with the case of Barcelona and its Citizen Science Office.
