The City and Science Biennial begins with a relaxed conversation with a passionate cook. During this event, we will talk about the fact of living and relating to each other and how the kitchen is a privileged space to start this conversation. Living is inseparable from food. It is important to consider what resources are used for cooking, which ingredients are within reach and which are mistakenly considered to be far away. Moreover, from the city, insensitive to the seasons, the fact that there are seasonal and non-seasonal foods is ignored. Their origin is made invisible. The conversation will also anticipate the consequences and effects of decisions in the kitchen, however small they may seem to us. In a fresh but critical way, the conversation will serve as an opening to the celebration of a knowledge and a science that is close to us, lived and committed.
