How do people in Raval experience heat waves, and what factors determine their experiences of relief and discomfort during intense weather events? Members of the neighbourhood community answer these questions through a process known as photovoice.

Throughout a series of workshops, the migrant neighbourhood community takes and collects photographs as they co-create a narrative around heat waves in the Raval. Thus, through the same photos of their surroundings and experiences, we can understand how they perceive their neighbourhood during these weather events. The photos taken during the project will be presented to the participants, who will be joined by the organisation to discuss the lessons learned during the photovoice process.

The activity will feature the intervention of neighbours participating in the photovoice workshops.
